My stepfather, Sgt. Thomas H. Ball was killed last year and was a vietnam vet with a purple heart and Ive been looking for anyone who served with him or any info about his army career.I'm extremely proud of him and all vietnam vets . He died on his Harley, and words just can't explain the admiration I feel, and I know I'm a better man having known him. Thanks to all who served. Any correspondence will be graciously accepted and answered.

I am looking for the best friend of mine whose name is Ly Popo. Her address was Ly Popo, 1/A Lêloi, Danang South Vietnam. We decided together to devote our life for peace all over the world because of what was going on in Vietnam by that time but I lost her traces , when the bombing of Huê and Danang begun in 1969. Without Ly Popo, I am fighting alone for Peace the best way I can. I am performing the Post Conflict Peace building as Civilian Police in Kosovo. The only souvenir of her I could keep is her picture. I hope she survived the War. I hope also that we will meet one day. I miss her so much! I am married. I gave her name to my daughter and all my family is waiting for her. I will appreciate your help to get in touch with her if she is still alive. I am still praying for her. We are always in tears when we look at her picture. Thank you by anticipation and God bless you.

Just thought I'd pass along that I have updated my homepage & included many pictures from Monkey Mountain SVN (71-72) of the "denizens" and surrounding area of DaNang and the Mountain. I took hundreds of photos while there. Unfortunately, this is just a few dozen that I've had time to scan. Scroll towards the last half of the webpage and look for two links to VietNam. I was a 276xx Radar Op (scope dope)in 71 & 72 at the Mountain.
Take care,

As a Sgt.in the Army,I served in Nam in 1969.I was with 1st Bn 6th Inf 198 LIB Americal Div On 27th day of Sept.1969 I was wounded by automatic weapon fire.I just wanted to share something with you that i wrote in aug. 1969.It hurts to be a soldier,to have to say goodbye,to have to leave loved ones and see them start to cry,to be taken away to some faraway land away from the women he loves, knowing how much she will miss him,he prays she will preserve her love. Each day he raises his eyes to the heavens and begins to pray(Oh God I thank you for allowing me to live just one more day, please take my hand and guide me on my way)A soldier is a lonely man who lives for one more day,he never seems to have a future its always too early to tell.So if by chance you meet a soldier,be proud to shake his hand, for he is a member of the forces which safeguard his beloved, and our beloved land.

Your website is beautiful. My father was in WWII and was German POW for several months at the end of the war. I never knew him very well as he and my mother were divorced when I was young, but I can't read or see a soldier without thinking of him. I work for the VA so I try to do all that I can for our vets.

I am currently serving in the U.S. Army. I would just like to say thanks to all the veterans that have made this country what it is today. I am currently in the fight to bring our boys back home. I hope the senate and congress will see these pages and actually put forth an effort to help bring them back to American soil.

I am making a Memorial Day display in my small town and hope that Vietnam Vets will e mail me photos of friends or relatives who were KIA, MIA or POW in Vietnam. I am making a "wall" of pictures to display in an honorable Memorial Day "window" and this is not a commercial enterprise, just my way of saying thankyou for what you gave to those who did not return, and thankyou and welcome home to those who did. Thankyou, please help me make a really good and memorable "wall of honor."

I have viewed many web sites, to glance as to who we are. I am proud as to how we all turned out. I am impressed as to the committment of all the Veterans from all branches of the armed services. I must say that I am a little biased since I was in the Marine Corp, stationed at FLC, Redbeach '68-'69. Traveled convoys during the day and stood guard at nite when called upon. I have not forgotten a day that I was there and wish for my self and all the Vets, that we may see those special cbuddy's that served with us, once again. I continue to look for Terry Loveland and all the guys with Motor T. I am an organizer of a Motor T Association and we will be having a reunion in Sept 2001. Please e mail me if you are interested in becoming a member of the Motor Transportation Association. Please e mail grrtwizard@aol.com
