Comments: Was CommChief at 1stMedBn, Jan/Apr '71, halfway between Camp Reasoner and Freedom Hill PX. Walked Sgt of Guard every third night. Many memories of Freedom Hill and Gunfighters Ville EM club at the air base and also the donut shop on the way to FLC. Would like to hear from anyone stationed at 1stMed in'71, especially any of the other Marines in the Comm Section. Have many pictures of 1stMed compound and DaNang area. Finally saw the shrinks a year ago and am now certifiably "Din Cai Dau". For past 40+ years I felt guilty being in the rear with the gear and looking at body bags & injured coming in to our LZ (101) on Purple Foxes and wondering why I as a 2533 was there instead of out in the bush. After seeing a VA psycologist for over 6 months, I now feel much better about everything.
