Comments:On September 15, 1967 my fiance Ronald Eugene Showmaker was killed in Vietnam, he was 20 years old, I was 18. I will never forget his memory or forget all those who died as he did. I always get sad around Memorial Day and Veterans Day. God Bless all Veterans and God Bless America. I am now married to a Vietnam Veteran who served 18 months as a Medic in Vietnam, we have only been married 8 years and only yesterday did I find out from an old newspaper article his mother gave me that he is the recipient of The Silver Star, Bronze Star, Army Comendation Medal and Purple Heart.
He doesn't like to talk about this war but I am so proud of him for his heroism even if he feels ashamed and gulity as I have heard most Vietnam Veterans do, have enjoyed this web page and the information it provides.
